Beer Bash!

Beer Bust Saturday June 5th at Half-Time Rec. We’ll have a Keg out there and it will be $10 ALL-YOU-CAN-DRINK! We’ll also have a Bocce Ball Tournament, and a couple bands will be there. The “Official” time of the beer bust is 4-8pm, but as long as we still have people and Beer we can go longer.

Come out, tell friends and family!

2010 Season Start

Here’s some dates regarding the start of our outdoor season. We are able to move up our start dates earlier than last year due to the cooperating weather. Of course, this is still April in Minnesota, so everything is up to the weather still cooperating.

Tues April 20th

These dates we will be holding practices at the memorial field on 34th avenue.

Starting April 27th, we will have the full size grass field, with goals, at McDonough, which is located off 35E and Larpentuer

In July, we will be able to move to the slightly nicer field at Arlington and Arkwright, which I will send more info about later on.

The first Metro game will be Sunday, May 9th. There will be a follow up email in the next couple days regarding that.

KC Winter Classic

Great Job in KC one and all. We lead for 45 of the 50 minutes, but unfortunately couldn’t hold on in the last 5. I think in the end, the wind won that game more than anything else. Playing in the Snow was something new for everyone, and it was truly a different game. The field was slower, the ball didn’t roll or bounce, and you had to watch footing. But it was a lot of fun, and I think everyone out there had a blast! It was a great way to start the season, I think we all took something away for what to work for. I know for me conditioning will be a big focus this year, and as always we need to get better at winning balls and getting to our kickouts better.

Thanks to everyone who drove and helped out, a special thanks to Melissa for helping out ont he sidelines, calling out what we needed to do, and taking photographs. GIANT thanks to KC for once again putting on a great game!
